Absolute Value Publications is a company which produces workbooks for mathematics. The workbooks are written by experienced math teachers and are designed to aid students learn mathematics.

Important Notice

We are pleased to announce that work on modifying our products to correlate with the new Western Canada Protocol Math curriculum is progressing rapidly. We are approximately 50% completed and plan on having all of our products modified before the curriculum is implemented.

Workbooks

The workbooks are resources for the mathematics curriculum in Alberta and British Columbia. Each curricular topic is sub-divided into individual lessons. Most lessons can be covered in one hour plus homework time, but some may require more time to complete. Generally, lessons are composed of:

• Warm-ups - which could be review, preview or investigative work.
• Class examples - which are intended to be teacher led, tutor led, or used in conjunction with a solution manual.
• Assignments - composed of short response, extended response, multiple choice, and numeric response questions for student practice.
• Answer Key - the answers to assignment questions.

The material has been piloted in several schools and colleges, and adjustments have been made based on student and teacher feedback.

More than 10,000 students in Alberta and British Columbia are currently using these workbooks as part of their mathematics education.
